Residential Programs

We serve clients with developmental and physical disabilities. Each group home has its own preferences and style, and we try and place people in a home that is tailored to encouraging their own personal interests. In some of the homes, we have young guys who love to play video games and go biking. In other homes, we have ladies who like to craft and go to bookstores. We believe in supporting and celebrating our clients and their unique individuality!

Rise & Shine believes in providing the highest standard of living for clients in group homes. Our mission is to set the example of how group homes should be run by going above and beyond in every way that we can. In our residential program, we have 6 group homes throughout Springfield. Each group home has 24/7 care provided by Direct Support Professionals including caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and Behavior Specialists. In our homes, we focus on helping our clients live their best life and we can accomplish that by providing Person-Centered care. We use companionship and personal care to enhance skills and social development; we want to see our clients succeed!

What does Person-Centered Supports mean to you?

"Person Centered Supports recognize an individual's right to build and keep control over their own life. Support must be based on individual strengths, goals, aspirations, and preferences for how services are delivered, not based on what is convenient for staff or the system. To truly provide person centered support, support agents must remain open and flexible, to tailor services and support to suit the person’s wishes and priorities, and to make necessary changes when the individual’s wants, needs or goals change. Person Centered Teams listen to the person, help identify what is most important to them and assure that planning and decision making includes and centers around helping them create a life that makes sense to them.
